#1
Hello everyone,
My original windows 7 is in c-disk and i downloaded a windows 8 iso. There is a auto installation of windows 8 iso, but i don't know it can install in e-disk. My e-disk still have 60G space. If it install in e-disk successfully, is it have an effect on windows 7? Is is ok to startup normally?
Waiting for your reply! I really appreciate it.

I would like to create an ISO from my Windows 7 Ultimate installation disc. This way I can backup my OS disc and put it on a bootable flash drive. Just so I understand, the only way I can boot from a flash drive is with an ISO? What program would be best to make the disc into an ISO?

The iso file must be burned to DVD to allow the choice to install to the E Drive. To burn to DVD simply Right Click the file and choose Burn Disk Image.
Once you have burned the iso file to DVD, boot to the DVD. During the installation, after entering the key you will come to a screen where you will have the option to do an Upgrade install or Custom Install. CHOOSE CUSTOM INSTALL. You will then be given the choice of where to install. This is where you will choose your E Drive. Be sure to choose the E Drive or it will install over your Win 7 and you WILL loose Win 7.
Before you do anything, create an Image of your present OS.

To get a copy of Win 7 iso file including SP1 just download the iso file from Digital River. I would love to supply the URL but am prohibited until I get to 50 posts. (I have almost 7000 posts on another forum but can't transfer a few over, sorry). I suppose you can PM me and I could supply the URL that way.
