Since installing Windows 8 CP, Office update no longer works, the windows update works fine and it says update for windows only.

Is there a way to change the settings so it includes Office?

I have tried going to update from within Office but it just tells me that windows update will do the job!

Hopefully this will be fixed in RP or final release, unless anyone knows a solution?

Not sure what your problem might be. My Office 2010 products do get updates from WU. Have you tried an uninstall/reinstall of Office? This might help. There might also be a problem with the WU.

Do you get any Error Codes?

No error codes it just says you are set to receive updates for windows only

Very perplexing, no other ideas except a reinstall of Office, sorry.

I've put off installing an Office on Windows 8 CP for this reason, this issue has been raised here & on other sites, although it isn't an issue for everyone. Hopefully that will change with Windows 8 RP to be released in June.

Just so happens, the beta of Office 2015 is going to be launched that same month. That's the one that I'm trying out on Windows 8 RP first. It'll be interesting to see how well the two will blend.

I have had no problem getting regular updates for Office.
Perhaps you have not selected this setting?

Strangely I don't have the second tick box! Guess I'll have to re-install Office will let you know what happens.

Interestingly I had the same problem with my laptop, this is on my tablet, and it corrected itself when we had those 23 updates. But my tablet didn't, so will try that re-install. Thanks for the suggestions, much appreciated.

That is very strange because mine worked from the get go. Well I suppose that's why they call it a beta OS. I wonder if it is something to do with the Metro UI, but I would have not a clue what or why???? That's a weird one.

I checked out Windows 7 forums but there wasn't much help there, I also uninstalled and then re-installed office but that made no difference!
Guess I'll wait for RP and see if that improves things.
