failed to upgrade from windows 8 Consumer Preview to Release Preview?
Hi all,
My original OS is Windows 7 Home Edition. I tried to upgrade to windows 8 release preview.by using the downloadable ISO and using my USB, but both failed. I go through the regular installation process and around the time my computer is suppose to be rebooting, it gives up and then tells me that it had failed at installing Windows 8 and that it will bring back my computer to the state in which it was.
Can anyone help me with this issue?
Thank you in advance!

You have to do a clean install. Try to download the ISO file and burn it to DVD (or USD Flash Drive) then boot to this device to install Win 8 RP. The only way a USB Flash drive will work is if your bios has an option to allow USB prior to OS boot. Many Bios do not have this option.
A Clean install is the only route from Win 8 CP to Win 8 RP.

I have heard of people getting corrupted downloads. Perhaps a internet download manager would help.
