Hi all,

I am using the windows 8 32bit version. When I try to activate Win8, I keep getting a error 0x80072F8F. I used the exact product key provided. I couldn't activate the system for a couple of days sense I have no internet at home and had to wait until today when I got to my local library.

When you enter the key exactly as shown, there is no activation, it is automatically activated. You should not have to go through an activation process. Since this is a beta release, activation is not necessary.

0x80072f8f usually happens when your computer date/time differs from the servers by too large an amount. So please check your clock.

a: Right Click at the bottom left of the screen and select System.
b: Click View Details in Windows Activation under Windows Activation
c: Click Activate

Note: Make sure you are connected to the Internet when performing this step.

Method 2: Perform the steps mentioned below and see if it helps.

a: Right Click at the bottom left of the screen and select Run.

b: Now type Slui 4 in the Run dialog box and hit enter.

c: Select the nearest location and click next.
