Cannot connect to the Virtual machine
Hi all,
I have just install Windows 8 pro. Brand new installation of windows 8 and turn on Hyper-V and restart computer.
Enter Hyper-V and create new VM and attempt to connect. On the manager i can see a little box that shows the machine booting up.
so the virtual machine boots up but the connection tool wont connect. (installing window xp)
but on the Virtual Machine Connection tool it just stay blank and after a while I get "Cannot connect to the Virtual machine. Try to connect again. If problem persists, contact, your administrator".
I install it on a desktop and laptop both fresh install and I get the same problem.
Thanks for any answers.

Re: Cannot connect to the Virtual machine
This issue is caused by deleting 2 snapshots of the server but did not merge the snap shots. There is a solution for you.
Resolved it by turning off the guest (not shutdown) and let the merge process complete.
**whatch the status tab for progress / DO NOT start the server prior to it finishing**
To check look at the settings of the Hard Drives & see where they are pointing (should be a xxxx.VHD / not xxxxx.AVHD)
