Can I install windows 8 using a virtualization software?
Hello everyone,
I've post this problem on Yahoo Answers but no satisfied so far. My laptop is a toshiba satellite L505-S6946, unfortunately it doesn't have hardware virtualization technology. My processor is Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 2.0Ghz 2.0Ghz and is it possible to install Windows 8 using a virtualization software although my processor doesn't support VT? Any hints or suggestions would be appreciated.

Ahmeda,
What flavour of Windows7 are you running? Cannot run WindowsVPC on Home Premium & below. I think you can, still, run Win8 as a vm on VirtualBox w/ what you have.
There is a way you can dual-boot to a vhd in Windows7, eliminating the need to be able to run virtualization software. Might be your surest, best & easiest approach.
Cheers,
Drew

Hey, see, there are 2 votes for VirtualBox, now.
Actually, I ran the Win8 Developer Preview, quite nicely, on VirtualBox. Tell you why & I think y'all will find this both surprising & hilarious, I know I sure did! The DP, from Microsoft, mind you, would not run on Windows VPC (VirtualPC) which, is, of course, also, from Microsoft, LOL. When I hit that snag, last year, I immediately queried my well positioned contacts in Microsoft, only to have them tell me, no it won't run on Windows VPC & to use VirtualBox, because it would run on that.
Cheers,
Drew
