I am running windows 7. Now I would like to dual with windows 8. However i have a problem.

I have four partitions on my hard drive beforehand (two of them are recovery). Its all factory settings. I create a new one by shrinking for dual booting win8. It asks me to create a dynamic disk instead, Now i wont be able to dual boot.

What is dynamic disk? How to create? Thanks.

I would go into Win 7, Disk Manager, and delete the partition you created. This will leave unallocated space. Leave it as unallocated as Win 8 RP will set up the file system automatically.

Boot to the DVD and choose Custom Install. Point to the unallocated space and install. Done!
