This windows 8 tutorials is how to create the shortcut of sleep. If you are looking for an easy way to set your computer sleep in windows 8, you can follow the steps to create a shortcut on desktop.

Right Click the desktop and choose New, Shortcut

Copy the following line into the window that appears.

rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState 0,1,0

Select Next, then name it something like Sleep. Very original.

Select Finish and there is a shortcut to Sleep on your desktop.
