    Default Control Panel closes automatically

    Hi all,

    When I try to open my computer or the Control Panel or even the Search window, the window closes by itself and I reach the start menu. Also, cannot open Windows Defender because of that. I am downloading AVG to see if I could solve the issue. Is it a bug?

    I believe it is a corrupt installation. I believe reinstalling your OS is the best course of action.

    I agree with Ted. That is not a bug. Try to format the drive and re-install Windows 8.
