The difficulty of finding download sites is my only real gripe with Grisoft.
They've always been like that. If you want to BUY it, that's easy, but finding the FREE stuff is a bit more difficult.
I checked with File Hippo and Major Geeks, but they only have the 2012 versions.

Which version do you want? 32 bit or 64 bit?

Ted, did you check your email box for any communication from AVG? This is how I was notified that this was available. I can't seem to find any trusted straight download sites.

My email had the activation link, which I did. Then nothing. I was able to get the download links through another source.

That's great that you got it, Ted. I logged into my account after reading your prior post, there was no longer a download for the app. Perhaps it was a time limited offering, I don't know. Many times, when these offerings are there, one must grab them, if nothing else, download it for later.

When I first signed up, I was offered AVG IS for Linux, which I wasn't crazy about. My Linux usage has dropped dramatically since 02/29, when 8 CP was released. I do have a ESET RC on that OS. Seems that more security companies are targeting Linux & Mac users, though they represent a small percentage of users, still, 6 to 8% is millions of users.

Good News! I finally got 8 RP installed, but it still was on a HDD that I attempted 4 times to install last night, to no avail (more on this in the proper thread). And AVG IS 2013 is reactivated, which I'm glad of. So far, it's seemed the best security app out there for Windows 8 RP, where the total package "just works". CPU usage fluctuates some on Full scans, but I've yet to find any security solution that remains low while doing these. Those with more CPU under the hood will notice this less. Still, it doesn't freeze 8 RP.

As far as Kaspersky goes, some AV/IS solutions works with 8 RP, some doesn't. I expect the number that works to increase in the next 2 to 3 months, as those who are brand loyal will switch to another. Though ESET has kept my computers clean for almost 2 years, should it not be fully compatible with Win 8 upon retail availability, that may change.

Newegg & other etailers sells AVG at discounted prices, just as the other brands. I have seen it come either Free with Mail In Rebate, or greatly reduced with a promo code. Have also seen it bundled with AVG PC Tune Up for a promo price.

At any rate, no one should be paying Full price for security software. I never have, & never will.

Generally beta offerings are not time limited the way released app are. I think there must be some other reason why the download link is disabled.

But it's NOT!
The download link is only accessed after you Log In with your AVG Membership ID and password. I did it again just last night. It still works!

The Beta test version is only available to Registered Beta Testers. Eh?
I wish MS would do that!

I wonder if this is because your sign in is as a AVG paid subscriber as well as a beta tester.

The page/links to join projects is working for me. There's ones for AVG Rescue CD, AVG Business Products & AVG 2013 (all Beta apps).

Just downloaded both the 32 & 64 bit versions again, will save these to a Flash Drive. I'm simply a Beta Tester for AVG, haven't bought any of their software. Depending upon how AVG 2013 IS Beta does, & whether ESET gets their HIPS driver issue in order for Win 8 (I presume that they will), will determine what I buy in regards to security.

I'll then evaluate both, & may the better app win.

I was able to get the 2 downloads elsewhere, but there is no download link that I can find. Where are they?

I went to the link you supplied and logged in with my credentials.

I do not need the links, but others that may want to try might need them. I had received an email to activate my registration which I did. There is no where that I see any download links or page. This is really strange.
