Hi all,

I have beening running windows 8 consumer preview since its released. Now windows 8 release preview is also released, so I did a clean install of windows 8 release preview. After installation, there is no sound! I reinstalled and still nothing. The icon has no red x, it's normal. I checked the audio driver, it does not work.

Anyone has any idea? thank you!

I had this problem yesterday.
1: Start
2: Type "windows update"
3: click "settings" on the right
4: click "install optional updates"
5: install all of the updates it lists.
