I installed Windows 8 Developers Preview copy on my Dell Dimension E310 and managed to get everything installed and setup...except sound. I have an unknown usb device in device manager, which I'm sure is the audio chipset. I even got network printer shares and server shares to work on my xp workgroup at home. I can only conclude the audio driver is no longer compatible with the new OS. Any ideas or know about how to get a working driver? I am even willing to go buy a new sound card if I knew which ones are recommended or known to work with the new OS.
