    Default Does Windows 8 have an Equalizer

    If they do how to you turn on the equalizer I like to hear more highs in my music.

    I suspect not. Remember this is a beta OS for testing purposes only. It is not complete.

    It would be my guess that the equalizer functions would be in the sound card settings, not in the OS itself. That's the way it is on both my desktop & notebook with DYNAUDIO sound. It was supplied by the OEM, it's not a Microsoft product.

    There are many sound cards on the market. You can try installing your sound drivers/program, if it's Windows 7/Vista. It may or may not work. I doubt that the proper functions of those cards built for Windows XP/2000 would work properly on Windows 8.

    But don't let that stop you from trying!

    The only equalizer I've ever seen on any MS OS is the one in Windows Media Player. I use it myself.
    Otherwise, there is NOT one in Windows.

    Most of the audible power of music is in the Mid-range, so I pull that UP and leave both ends at the normal level.
    I like BASS (Base), but too much of it in cheap PC speakers till make them pop, snap and rumble. I hate that!
