Rich, Welcome to our Win 8 Forum. I have not heard of this one. Is it a freebie? Does it work with IE 10 as an add on? Does it open PDF's in a browser window to allow downloading to your PC? These are the problems I'm encountering. My banking site has a problem with every PDF reader I've tried for monthly statements. They work fine in Win 7 but hiccup in Win 8 CP. All other PDF's seem to work fine in IE 10 in Win 8 CP with FoxIt Reader.

Ted, Not sure if it has add on capabilities with IE 10. It is free, lightweight and will d/l files to hard drive. So far so good with everything I have done with it in Windows 8.

Well, Sumatra PDF did not set up to open in IE 10, oh well. I will just go back to Win 7 when I have to download my bank statements. It was worth a try at least. Thanks for the info.

    Just asking......

Why are you downloading your bank statements?
    That's just not safe!

A much easier way to save your bank statement is to just view it on your screen, do a screen print to paper and put the paper in your filing cabinet. It's never saved on your PC so it cannot be stolen by some piece of crap Spyware or whatever.
I save NO banking info on my PC.

On my PC, running "Photo Filtre" it takes me one keystroke and about five mouse clicks to have my bank statement printed out and in my hand. There's nothing left on the PC that could possibly be stolen. Much safer!

    Cheers Mates!

To each his own my friend. I save my statements digitally rather than as paper statements. I actually had a break in a few years ago and had some financial records that had been printed stolen with poor results. Since then I have felt safer with digital statements encrypted on my HD. What can I say. Plus I feel as though I'm doing my part to save a tree here and there.

When recycled paper costs more than virgin paper I opt to kill a tree. 8^))

USB Flash Drives are costing less by the month, it seems. A 8GB Kingston Data Traveler 100 G2 was given to me with the recent MBAM Pro that I bought for Windows 8 CP, both were a total of $22.99. And still saved money over buying straight from MBAM themselves.

My collection of 8GB Flash Drives has now increased to 3, along with four 4GB ones & one 16GB one. That 16GB one is the slowest that I have, it was a no name from eBay. My next one will be a USB 3, as my notebook has 2 USB3 ports. 8GB Flash Drives costs what 4GB ones did less than 2 years ago.

Anyway, storing on either USB Flash Drives or CD/DVD's, or a folder on a backup drive is excellent for storing important documents. Check out the picture, 3rd down on right, as to how much data a single 4GB Flash drive can hold. A 4.7GB DVD can hold even more.

That's over a lifetime of emails & PDF files for the majority of us. I'm not speaking of installer (exe) files, just data, PDF & emails. As always, have a backup of whatever media they're installed on, preferably in separate places.

Some very important items, I also print & put in my safe deposit box at the bank.
