Hi all,

I installed windows 8 comsumer preview. However I have suddenly become unable to open most aplications. So I checked the task manager and I noticed a process called searchindexer.exe keeps popping up and consuming up to 97% of my CPU and over 40% of my memory at once. When i end this process I can use the apps but it keeps reappearing and I am unable to open apps again.

How can I fix this?

You can always disable the Search Indexing service.
