Default Error Message on Google Search

I am getting this error when I go to use google search. I have always used google search, but yesterday I had problems with my printer and HP helped me solve it and it was after that that this error occured. I don't know if it is related or not.

Check the date and time on you computer and make sure they are current based on your timezone.

Try uninstalling Firefox using Revo Unsinstaller to get rid of all registry files including the corrupt ones and then, restart PC and reinstall Firefox.

If this didn't work, the next step would be more technical (i.e. corrupted cert8.db in profile folder, etc.).

Or, just uninstall Firefox and switch to Google Chrome.

I used to be a Firefox fan until it became too slow because of the stupid security feature and frequent updates. I switched to Google Chrome out of frustrations.

When I went to uninstall firerfox, there was something on there called "browser safeguard'. I have never had that on there and didn't install it, so I removed it and now google works fine.

That issue may not be Firefox related. Your PC may have been infected with a browser hijacker. It could be a malware. You may want to run a malware scan on your PC just to be on the safe side. Good to know it's working now.

When I went to remove it, I noticed a lot of things in there I never installed. I also ran malware yesterday and had 48 threats which I have
never had before, so it did its damage. Hopefully all is well now. Thanks.
