blue screen saying "Kernel_Security_Check_Failure
I have a new computer with windows 8 CP. Since I installed drivers which my PC manufacturer provided, I've been having problem that the system is restarted in few minutes after the boot with blue screen saying "Kernel_Security_Check_Failure". This problem only happens when the battery is being charged.
Do you have any suggestions?
Re: blue screen saying "Kernel_Security_Check_Failure
How did you install Win 8 CP? Upgrade the existing Win 7 or Custom install Win 8 CP?
The next beta version, Win 8 RP is due today or tomorrow. Download this new ISO file, burn it to DVD, boot to the DVD and choose Custom Install. This will do a clean install.
Yes you will have to reinstall all apps, but since this is only a beta OS for testing purposes, this should not present a major problem. Beta OS's do still have problems. This is why they are tested in beta versions, to try to find and fix problems as well as recommend different features or changes. These are not meant to be used as your only OS for real work.
Win 8 released version is not expected for sale until sometime in October.
If you are unfamiliar with how beta testing works, perhaps it would be best to stay with Win 7 until Win 8 is actually released.
