Default Windows 8 Release Preview language packs screenshots leaked

The Windows 8 Release Preview will come out soon. This weekend, new screenshots from a leaked build of the OS found their way to the Internet. The shots, from the Winunleaked.tk forums, show an example of how Windows 8 will install language packs.

The screenshots show an Enterprise English language version of the Windows 8 Release Preview installing an Russian language pack. In a previous post on the official Windows 8 blog, Microsoft said that it would add 14 new display languages (one new stand alone language and 13 Language Interface Packs) to Windows 8, in addition to including the 95 display languages that were a part of Windows 7. UK English will now be a stand alone display language in Windows 8, separate from US English.

The rumor is that the Win 8 RP will be released June 1st. I can't wait. I'm ready to see the improvements.

I'm ready for RP myself. Not that CP has been bad, in fact, it's been much better than I ever expected. As far as basic desktop usage goes, Windows 8 CP is the fastest version of Windows that I've ever ran to date.

That may change Tuesday though, as my 128GB M4 SSD for my MSI notebook (Win 7 Pro x64) will be here, & my expectations are very high! My already planned busy day will be even busier.

Windows 8 RP looks to be even more promising, & for many of us, this is the one that's going be the decision maker to open our wallets, or stay with what we have. Should RP improve on CP's foundation, which I expect that it will, the decision for my next desktop OS will be an easy one. I'll retain my OEM OS on it's HDD & install Windows 8 Pro where CP (& RP will be) is now, hopefully along with Office 2015.

It's also great to see more language packs issued, as MS is a worldwide corporation (for the most part), & the inclusion of the locals in other countries is good for all. This is a fraction of all languages, but covers most of the modern globe's users.

Windows 8 will debunk the common theory that MS produces a "flop" between Windows releases. Actually, that's been debunked, but many doesn't count Windows 2000 Pro before making this statement. This will just further prove it. Vista & Me were pushed through too fast to be contenders. I don't believe that MS will make that mistake again.
