    Great!

I will install the Windows 8 Consumer Preview 32 bit after checking the system requirements.

And Microsoft has pointed out that if users want to use the Snap function, the resolution must be 1366X768 at least. For the function of touch, users have to use the laptop or tablet with touch screen.

Actually, those basic requirements are pretty wide sweeping. I loaded Win-8/DP, not CP, on a seven year old Compaq desktop. I goofed up, and used my 64bit install disk, not even thinking that the old Compaq is only a single core, 32 bit System. But it did have an AMD cpu chip and two gig's of DDR ram. I had connected a spare 250 gig SATA II hard drive just for this install.
The OS loaded and ran just fine. Who would'a thunk it?

My next experiment will be to load Win-8/CP on my little Acer Netbook. That should prove interesting. It came with XP-Home on it.

    Cheers Mates!

The system requirements in the real world in less than Windows 7, far less than Vista. Only on a low-spec computer would this be noticed. While both Vista SP2 & Windows 7 x64 Pro would run OK on my desktop PC, the Windows 8 is desktop ready in half the time of each.

And that's with the same security enabled, Windows Defender disabled, ESET Smart Security 5 + MBAM Pro added. The graphics are better, even on a crappy card (ATI Radeon 3200 HD).

It's also my default OS on that system. If I'm going to buy it, I may as well use it.

But you cannot, Windows8 is unusable, nobody can operate it cus it has horrid Metro & no Start button or Start Menu so it is impossible to operate it. It was ok in the DP cus we could kill Metro but now in the CP we can't do that anymore so now it is an operating system nobody can use. Everyone should write to the Pope & your City Fathers. When we can't use XP anymore in October when Windows8 is released the world will come to a screeching halt cus nobody will be able to use or operate computers any more because they won't know how to use Metro & they have no Start button.
