Network disappears after switching to wireless
Hi all,
Network disappears (nothing visible in Network folder, cannot locate other system, etc). Sharing is enabled, firewall is completely turned off, and both computers are set to "Home" network. File & printer sharing enabled, network discovery enabled. I can view the other PC through the router's web setup page, but not on the Windows network.
Here's where things get interesting: Plugging either computer into the ethernet cable will result in the network being immediately accessible, doesn't matter which system gets plugged in.

Re: Network disappears after switching to wireless
Is the computer that will not connect wirelessly a laptop? If so make sure the wireless (WiFi) is turned on. Some have a switch on the front, some have a S/W switch.
The problem could be a driver issue. Check to see if you manufacturer has an updated wireless adapter driver.

Verify if you have only Windows 7 machine setup for wireless, if it sees the network.

This issue is some important updates being rolled out to hotmail servers sometimes. You may try later.
If the issue still persists, please try these steps:
1. Go to https://account.live.com.
2. Under Other options click on Connect with HTTPS.
3. Choose Use HTTPS automatically.
4. Click on Save.
