I just found this good tips from my ISP. I am sure it works for you.
Here's a simple little thing you can do to increase your bandwidth by at least 20%.
Ok here we go...
1.) log on as Administrator.
2.) start - run - type gpedit.msc
3.) expand "local computer policy"
4.) then expand "administrative templates"
5.) then expand "network branch"
6.) Highlight the "QoS Packet Scheduler"
7.) on right window double click "limit reversible bandwidth"
8.) on setting tab check the "enabled"
9.) change "Bandwidth limit %" to 0
You're done.It would be a good idea to reboot after this and check your speed with a good internet speed site.

I saw little or no difference whether I have changed this setting, or left it at the default Not Configured setting. Both Upload and Download speeds were virtually unchanged.
you should change the type of connection that you owned or the service provider
You do not understand, I already have a faster cable connection with very nice speeds. I just wanted to see if this change made a difference on my cable modem. No change,
Latest Download speed: 18+ mbps
Latest Upload speed: 1.9+ mbps
then try with alternate cable or port in Ur pc. It may show results
i think you should try that bcus you might never change the font as a visible ...LoL
This PC is a laptop with wireless connection to the router. I do not think I need any additional speed, I just like to try suggestions in this forum to see if they make any change on my system. This suggestion did not make a difference.
I have not a clue what you are talking about with the color or font statements.
Yeah, I'm sitting here scratching my head on that one too. Font color?
Two things I've done to optimize my PC to Router connection.
You can't speed up a modem, , you can't really speed up a router, but....
You can definitely Optimize how your PC talks to the internet.
If you use Mozilla Firefox, there is a whole page of tweaks (settings to change) in FF to speed it up.
I did all the Tweaks and FF does seem to be more responsive (run faster).
Just do a Google search for "speed up Firefox".
In Windows there are about 77 settings (usually found in the registry) to optimize Windows to your Internet connection hardware.
Over the years, I've tried several programs that were supposed to optimize my internet speed, but most all of them fell way short of making any noticeable difference.
The only program I've found that really DID make a difference, is "AVG Tune-Up". (Not FREE)
On my PC it reset 39 of 77 settings and made a noticeable difference.
It would be virtually impossible for anyone but a MS Engineer to set all those parameters by hand.
Good Luck Mate!
