Hey everyone,
Let's directly to the point. This windows 8 problem has annoying me quite a long time and i've fix many windows 8 problems in this forums, so i come here for some help. many thanks in advance.
I would like to change the location of my windows 8 labrary to a network drive but everytime I changed the location. it says it cannot be used because it's not indexed.
So does anyone can tell me how do I get a network drive to be indexed? or any other ideas?
any help in this would be highly appreciated.

you can simply index the network files as a workaround.
Add a non-indexed UNC as a library
1. Create a folder on your hard drive for shares. i.e. c:\share
2. Create another folder in the above share. i.e. c:\share\music
2. Link the Library to this folder.
3. Delete the folder.
4. Use the mklink in an elevated command prompt to make a symbolic link. Name the link the same as the folder you created above.
i.e - mklink /d c:\share\music \\server\music
5. Done. Now you have non-indexed UNC path as a library.02-14-2012
