    Any last suggestions?

That's the same wireless adapter that my MSI notebook has, and it worked quite well with Windows 8, when I had it on there. I removed it not long after installation, because my OEM power functions would not work (Intel Turbo Boost, GPU boost, and other functions). But otherwise, it did run good.

Have you been to Intel's site to download the latest drivers? If you can't connect using wi-fi, plug in a ethernet cable & go to the site.

    Intel

Be sure to use the IE browser when going to the site, there has to be an ActiveX component installed to scan your system. Your installed drivers should show, along with any updates. Note that this site may or may not work with Windows 8 CP, but it's always worth a try.

I tried both the Intel and Lenovo drivers for my laptop, and both came up as having no compatible drivers for 6 of them... none was my wifi, so it really didnt make a difference. Thanks everyone for helping me, but im going ahead with a factory reset.

Thanks for the help from everybody.

    You're quite welcome, yhb40.

Let us know how things turns out. My 1st install of Windows 8 CP, I had some networking issues myself, although it wasn't that adapter, it was my desktop one. My issue was, I had to go through the repair routine on every startup to get my wired internet to work.

By the time of my 2nd install on it, the issue had been fixed. So far, my desktop is 100% functional, & hope that it remains that way.

    Best of Luck,
