Changing photo import settings with Windows 8
Hi all,
I would like to change the import settings for my Canon camera when importing photos using Windows 8 consumer preview. I had already tried to do this once but want to adjust the settings again. However, when I connect my camera to my PC, it automatically starts importing photos based on current settings with no option to change. Do you know where I can change the setting?
Please help. Thanks in advance!

Re: Changing photo import settings with Windows 8
I had the same problem... I set it to the Photos App and it gives no options to change or customize. What you do is start the Windows Live Photo Gallery program on the desktop. On the left will be your camera listed with the folders and whatnot. When I selected that, an import dialogue box with customizing options appeared, similar to what I used in Windows 7. You can also reset the Autoplay settings here. Sweeet!

The only way I am aware to look at options if they are available in any of the apps is to open the app, then use Chars Bar, Settings. Using the Charms Bar when an app is active will open whatever options are available for that app. I however use the desktop exclusively.

Re: Changing photo import settings with Windows 8
1. Go to "My Computer"
2. Right click on your device (i.e. camera)
3. Select "Import pictures and video"
4. Select "More options"
You can change your import folders there.
