I have Office 2010 running on both Win 7 and Win 8 CP as well, but consider myself a novice with Office. I also see it as running quite nicely with Win 8 CP. Installed easily, activated easily without complaint. I would however defer to Drew on technical issues pertaining to Office.

    Yep, bet it would.

I had Office 2007 on W7 x86 but, I blew that install away, partially to make room for W8

    Yeah, for some reason I had W7 x86 & x64. And, since I never used the x86...

Speaking of compatibility... doesn't seem to be much to which W8 objects. It's even like that about hardware, too.

Maxx, depends on what version your office is. Is it trying to lose weight?

I'm having no problems running Office 2010 on Windows 8 myself. I don't use it for much, but it's good to have for the times that I do use it.

One thing that I've always wondered about, why is the 32 bit Office recommended for most users, even though most computers of today are 64 bit? If it's a Flash issue, there is Flash for 64 bit, as well as Java.

Cat, I'm going to go out a limb here & say it's a timeline thing. The statement comes from a day when most users were running x86 machines. Ergo, recommended for most cus that's what most were.

Don't you hate it when I try to make sense, eh? It did before I wrote it down

From what I read, some things that were made to be active in 32 bit MAY not work properly in 64.
I run 64 on one of my comps but haven't put it to the test as I rarely do anything that requires Office anymore.

I'll probably leave it as is, it's been installed 2 years. By the time Windows 9 rolls around, it'll be time for a new PC & Office also.

One of those 128 bit CPU's!!!
