I tried to install the CP win8 version to play with and it booted start to run then gave me an error msg telling me there were missing drives - but it will not tell me what driver(s) it's looking for - I have SATA drives installed in my computer and am now booting from one with win7 - the only hard drive it see's or tries to load on is my one and only non-sata drive. Any suggestions on how to fix or at least figure out what drivers it is looking for?

Move on to the newer Win 8 RP. This has many fixes and extra drivers that might work with your PC.

Sorry my error this is the one I have I download the .iso file and burned it to a DVD

Did you choose Custom Install and pointed to the drive where you wish to install Win 8 RP? I assume you do not wish to install to the non-SATA HD. How many HD's do you have, 2 or 3? I see you have Win 7 on one SATA HD. Can I assume you have an additional SATA HD in addition to the non-SATA HD? Is the HD you wish to install on deleted and/or formatted? If so I might try to disconnect the HD you do not want to install on, then try again.
