Only 3.25GB Left after Windows 8 Installation - Windows 8

Hello everyone,

The actual physical memory of my computer is 6 GB. But this morning I found that the memory left is only 3.25 GB after I installed the Windows 8 home premium on it. But I do not think the Win 8 system would take up so much space. Can you tell me how set it make it recover the actual memory?

6GB memory? That's very strange.

Try to find a memory cleaner, like smart ram.

It's usually 2GB or 4, you got 6 GB. Quite difficult to understand.

Did you try running Disk Cleanup? From there remove the file: Windows.old - if that is your problem.

for one make sure you are using a 64 bit install because 32 bit installs are limited to about 3.50 max ram no matter now much you may have installed
