Currently I have installed Windows 7 Enterprise on my laptop, with the only limitation that the video card does not support Windows Aero. The only problem is I do not see the transparency of the overlapping windows. My laptop has 1.5GB. RAM, 1.73 GHz, 100GB HD available., DVD, Wifi, but the video card is not compatible with WDDM 1.0.
I tried to install Windows Developer Preview 8, 1. by upgrading to Windows 7, and 2. hd format including fdisk (delete partition)., in both forms after making appropriate revisions freezes the screen that says: "Windows Developer Preview". Allow for more than 30 minutes waiting to react but nothing happened.

I researched to see if is a requirement that the video card supports WDDM, but I have not gotten on the ground that Windows 7 is required but is not essential to its operation.

There is another cause may be the problem, I have even researched on the internet in various forums but I have not seen anyone with this problem.

Appreciate your comments or something that tells me to do.
