I am trying to install windows 8 consumer preview. I have downloaded 32 bit english version from the website of microsoft. i have tried multiple times to install it but failed. Everytime its says that installation files are missing or some specific file is missing i dont remember which one. so i have tried to burn the iso file on three different new dvds to ensure but same problem.

Please help me solve the problem.i have used magic iso and nero burner.Thanks.

Win 8 RP will be released on June 1st. This next beta will require a clean install. At this point you might as well wait.

Remember, download the iso file, burn it to DVD and reboot to the DVD and choose Custom Install.

I get rid of the old windows 8 CP, and trying to download RP. Many thanks.

People have reported problems with.... certain DVD burning programs, burning too fast, getting bad ISO's from various sites, etc.

It's best to download only from the Microsoft download site. (don't forget to copy down the Registration Key while you're there)

ImgBurn (Image Burn) is a FREE program that is especially designed for burning ISO files. (it's great for creating them too)

Always burn your DVD's at the slowest speed offered by the burning software. (a slow burn is always a better burn)

If you follow all of the above rules, you should have no problem getting a workable DVD (unless your DVD drive is bad, or you have a batch of bad DVD disks)

Do we have to use a burner software to do it? Is there a simple way to do that?

If you have Win 7 or Win 8, simply right click on the ISO file and choose Burn Disk Image. The built in burner will start and burn the DVD.
