Use a 3rd party partitioning app such as Partition Wizard to partition your HD. Open the app, Highlight your partition and select Resize, grab and drag the Right Side until the desired space is shown. This leaves unallocated space on your HD (50 Gb should be large enough). You will then insert the DVD you burned from the Win 8 RP ISO file and install. Choose the Custom Install option when it is presented. point to the unallocated space and install Win 8 RP there. Done!
