I installed Windows 8 Developer Preview thinking it would upgrade my Windows 7 system and keep all my programs. In fact, it performed a clean installation and I lost all my programs. Fortunately I had made a backup of my Windows 7 system partition using Acronis True Image Home and was able to restore my whole system form this backup using the same program. Is there a way to install Windows 8 as an upgrade of Windows 7? Thanks.
