• Windows 8 RTM Review

Microsoft’s Windows 8 will soon approach its release to manufacturing (RTM) stage, so it’s the very time to take a close look at all the features of the upcoming windows 8 operating system.

Compared with win 7, windows 8 is essentially a solid, well-performing OS which is free of many of the former glitches and with speed improvements, interface enhancements and more convenient ways to manage the folders and files.

Windows 8 RTM needs to be installed to test all the merits and shortcomings of the new OS. Users can both perform a fresh install or upgrade the original OS. But both will take about 50 minutes to finish, including the usual restarts one has come to expect from Windows installations. And the installation steps are of course similar to those of the former Windows versions.

Then how about its performance and features? There is no wonder that it performs well for Windows 8 users.

    1. User-friendly desktop. Windows 8 lets you prepare to work with a computer faster than ever before. The taskbar contains the enlarged buttons and full-size sketches. And the users can customize the desktop according to their own habits mush easier than in Win 7.
    2. Super-fast searching. Enter in the search box on the Start menu to the desired word, and you will immediately see the results, grouped by categories: documents, images, music, e-mail program. When searching for a folder or library, you can fine-tune your search by using filters, such as by date or file type, and use the viewing area to look at the results.
    3. Graphical password logon for Windows 8. Traditional text password and graphical codes can be used to logon Windows 8.
    4. Facial recognition. Facial recognition automated startup tasks and password control are the focus for win 8 recently.
    5. Windows Touch (Touch Control). Use your fingers to browse Web pages, flip through photos and opening files and folders on your computer with a touchscreen - the first time Windows has a real multi-touch technology. Using gestures for zooming, rotation, and even display a shortcut menu, you will discover an entirely new way of working on computer
