The next generation of Microsoft’s Operating System, Windows 8 has been leaked for public consumption. Facial recognition, automated startup tasks and password control are the focus this week. Each week we get new features of Windows 8 as the design and features are being implemented and tested. Since Windows 8 M1 7850 has been leaked, more and more people are paying close attention to Windows 8. It seems like the leaks are coming faster and becoming more interesting as progress continues.
“Password pain has reached a tipping point,” Microsoft says. “Windows 8 could include a way to security store usernames and passwords, simplifying the online experience.”
Forget about passwords and fingerprint readers, Windows laptops of the future may authenticate simply by staring at you. This identification technology has been applied in place with Microsoft’s Kinect, an Xbox 360 controller that tracks motion in three dimensions. Therefore, it is a logical step of Microsoft to bring facial recognition to log users into Windows 8 for Kinect has already been using facial recognition to log users in to Xbox Live.
From leaked planning documents last year, Microsoft reportedly suggests that users could log in simply by sitting down in front of the laptop, eliminating the extra step of entering a password.
Some people might say it’s nothing new for facial recognition has been around for a long time. I believe Microsoft will definitely make some improvements on this part, so let’s looking forward to Windows 8 together.
