Recently, a detailed diagram about Microsoft products has been published online, offering more information about Windows 8. And it is the first time that mentioned the specific publishes date. This diagram is made by software engineer Chris Green, who has worked for Microsoft for more than 6 years. Before leaving the company, he submitted this diagram on his own blog.

According to this document, Windows 8 main support will begin at 7.1.2011, which means Windows 8 will be published at 7.1.2011, which contains no RTM edition.
Windows 7 main support began at 10.22.2009, and will end at 10.22.2014. Its extended support began at 10.22.2014, will end at 10.22.2019. And Windows 8 main support will begin at 7.1.2011, will end at 7.1.2016; its extended support will begin at 7.1.2016, end at 7.1.2012.
What’s more, this diagram contains Office 2012 publishing date. Among this, Office 2012 RTM edition will be published at 7.2.2012.
