Hi, everyone
I have a SAMSUNG external USB drive and my problem is that it can not be recognised in my Asus laptop. so I have to tried it on many diferent brands of computer and all of them also can not recognise it. what even weirder is that many important files were instored in it.
Does anyone know a way around this problem? maybe you've experienced the same or close to ?

My guess is you haven't got any hotswapping software installed so everytime you unplug it isnt safely removed. Have you got a bios that supports AHCI if not turn the PC off before you remove it then it should connect first go.

If only your computer can not recognize the USB, it might be the problem if the USB port on your laptop. It may get loosen. While all the computers you tried can not discover the connection, then it is the problem of your USB. Just exchange another one.
