Howdy everyone,

Let's directly to the point. Two weeks ago I purchased a monitor to hook up to my laptop but now it blanks out and pops up with an error box that says an "atikmdag" error occured randomly. sometimes it can recover to normal automatically, but sometimes it completely crashes my computer. i've never experienced this before upgrading to windows 8, so i just wondering its the problem of windows 8 or the monitor. I have googled this error up and without directly solution.

does anyone which could be the cause? many thanks in advance.

It is not the problem of your monitor, it might be the problem of your graphic card. Which graphic card are you using?
