Well the above did not work, and I still see this while typing in IE 10 (beta). I will try FF 13 for a while. This could be related to the browser in my case.

Stop pounding the keyboard, like you were on an old Underwood typewriter. You're shaking the touchpad. Eh?
Of course the mouse cursor is jumping. lol

Hey guys,
no other suggestions?
Here is what I have done. It seems to be working but who knows if it will last.
I went to the PC manufacturer's web site (Sony Vaio in my case) and download and installed the Alps Touchpad app in Win 8 RP. This loads this software in the Startup folder so that it starts with Win 8 RP. This gives more options for the Touchpad:
Attachment 705
Notice the added functionality of the Control Panel, Mouse window. I believe this is one of those specialized drivers/Software that is not included with Win 8 RP. When I installed it I got some extra options that were unavailable by default. There may be some similar apps in your Touchpad, whatever the brand.
In the true spirit, of BETA TESTING, yesterday, I shot myself in the foot, so to speak.
I wanted to disable the touch-pad on my D'hell laptop, so I dug around till I found the drivers that MS had installed for the mouse and disabled them. Boy did I feel DUMB! Disabling those drivers also disabled the keyboard and my USB wireless mouse.
I had NO Mouse input or keyboard at all. The only key or button that still worked on my laptop was the Power Button. Yikes!
So I rebooted the little PC with the Win-8/RP install disk and finally got into the screen that asked me if I wanted to do a "System Restore". Of course, I said "Yes" and the game was ON. After a System Restore to a point before I killed my laptop, (Testing) the PC rebooted and everything was back to normal. (whatever Normal is)
BUT, that would have been impossible, had I not made several restore points, Manually, during my initial setup of the PC, with all my tweaks and mod's and the installation of my programs.
So I encourage everyone, doing Beta Testing, to make System Restore points often as you proceed through your setup and testing. They can be a real 'Life Saver'.
Likewise, total drive backups. But then, we've already discussed that, so I won't go through that again here.
Cheers Mates!

Well my typing seems to be better. Perhaps I'll have to go back into IE 10 to try it there for a while. It seems the S/W app that I installed from Sony (Alps Touchpad) fixed the problem so far. If I find otherwise I'll post back again.
Seems much better in IE 10 as well. I will have to keep an eye on it for a while and see if the problem returns.
Have you tried the fix I recommended. Go to your PC manufacturer's site and see if they have a Touchpad app that you can install.
