You may not get this capability until Win 8 is closer to completed. Remember this is still a beta OS. The graphics manufacturers are not updating their drivers until they know what the final version of Win 8 will look like.

Try loading the driver for Windows 7. That's what I did for my NVIDIA GT 9800. I just clicked the .exe file and installed from that.

Go right to the "nvidea Geforce" web site and look for your video card there and then when you find your card, click on "Drivers" tab in the upper tab bar. Take it from there.

I just posted my own experience downloading Win-8 drivers, both 32 bit and 64 bit for my own Nvidea graphics card.

    Good Luck,

I have an Nvidia GTX 260 and the latest Nvidia driver - 296.10 - installed and works just fine for me.

There is absolutely NO reason to be afraid of anything. Do what I just told you... "Go to the Nvidea Geforce web site (What's New - GeForce) and put in the number of your card and let them run a compatibility test to see if that card will work for Win-8. It's 100% painless and won't cost you anything.

I just did that today, to get updated drivers for my six year old Video card, Made by Winfast, but containing an NVidea chip set. Now everything is working OK.

    Cheers Mates!

That site that TM posted worked for me also. I manually selected my GPU series from the dropdown menu on the right, there it was, one of the Verde drivers, for Windows 8 64 bit only.

    Drivers - GeForce

Now why can't AMD & Intel provide the same service? I can see AMD being slack, they're too cheap for their own good, but I expect better from Intel. They're a rock solid, well known corporation, with virtually no serious competition. AMD is simply a thorn in Intel's side, they're not a threat to Intel's loyal customers by a long shot & never will be.

It's their graphics cards that keeps AMD afloat, not their CPU's.

Just checked AMD. There is nothing yet for my ATI Mobility Radeon 4650 HD Graphics Adapter yet.

After checking your links I see that Nvidia does have a special driver for Win 8 only - version 296.17 [64 bit].
When I loaded Win 8 on the separate partition alongside Win 7 Windows automattically installed the driver I had on Win 7, the 296.10 which is working fine for everything I do. I guess maybe there's some 3d stuff etc that won't work. I'll install the special driver on Win 8 and see how it does.

UPDATE - the Nvidia 296.17 driver seems to work fine in Win 8
