Hi all,

I have a HP dv7 series with HD 5000 series video. After installing the Windows 8 Release Preview, it ran with the integrated Intel graphics. I didn't install anything else before the AMD Catalyst drivers specifically for the RP. At the end, the screen goes blank and the laptop hangs.


Any ideas what to do?

Did you use the latest drivers available from AMD? The Catalyst CP is out of beta, but the drivers are not the last I heard.

These drivers are not from AMD, and thus we cannot judge their suitability with Win 8. My suggestion is to wait until AMD officially releases drivers. There is no guarantee these drivers do not contain malware.
