Default I can't boot in Safe Mode?

does anyone know how to boot the safe mode in Windows 8? To do this I spam the F8 key when my computer starts. Problem is, I am given no option for Safe Mode. Only Start Windows Normally and Run System Repair.

Please help me, this is so frustrating.

    Hello idk, welcome to forums!

You need to do it manually. To add a safe boot option on boot loader, here is how:

    1. Press Windows Key + Q combination. Search for command prompt. Pick Command Prompt, Run as administrator. In the command prompt, type following command:

    bcdedit /enum /v

    2. Note down the identifier as located below (in notepad). Be careful and copy the identifier and don’t mess up with inherit or something like that.

    3. Now enter the following command:

    bcdedit /copy <IDENTIFIER STRING HERE> /d “Windows 8 Safe Mode”.

Reboot and see the new safe mode option.

    Another one:

Type "msconfig" in run dialog box, then check Safe boot option and make all boot settings permanent.

    Hope this helps you

    idk, welcome to the forum!

Can you provide a little more info as to why you need to boot into Safe Mode? I haven't ran the System Repair option using Windows 8 & don't know what it may do. Possibly a refresh or a reset, both options may require your install disk. A reset is basically a re-install, while a refresh reloads the OS, but you'll have to re-install all of your installed software.
