    Start Menu--Control Panel--User Account. You can modify the privilege and name here. If you can not modify the privilege, ttry to reboot the computer and enter the Safe Mode, choose Administrator and click Yes. And then do the first method again. At last, reboot is needed.

    I had the same problem, for me was a headache because i know what i do and its my system and my computer, i know what i want to do with it.

    So, i was trying solutions and i find it.

    First of all, i had installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and i upgraded to Windows 8 Pro x64 with media center. All of my programs works now and my docs and settings still being well.
    When i upgraded the win7 to 8 first of all i disabled UAC, but i realized that the system still asking me things and deny actions to copy, or access to some programs.

    I created a new account and overwrite all my settings in Users/account folder, but the problem persists.

    If you activate the administrator account with (net user administrator /active:yes) and login with administrator account you can access to all and no messages are shown.

    Well, to get full administrative privileges to our non named "administrator" account, do this:

    1.-Windows Key + R and type secpol.msc
    2.-Local Policies -> Security Options
    3.-User Account Control: Detect application installations and prompt for elevation: DISABLE
    3.-User Account Control: Run all administrators in Admin Approval Mode DISABLE
    4.-User Account Control: Only elevate UIAccess applications that are installed in secure locations: DISABLE
    5.-User Account Control: Only elevate executables that are signed and validated: DISABLE
    6.-Reboot and login with our account.
