First thread here. Nice to meet you. I am a new user of windows 8. Now I am running windows 8 Consumer Preview. I installed it just now. I just want to ask a question. Do you know how to change the keyboard input or keyboard language, how do I do this in Windows 8 Consumer Preview? I am Chinese, but I downloaded English version by mistake. So is there any way to change to Chinese input?

After installed your input, simply press left "shift", your input will turn into different input, between English and Chinese.

Actually "Windows key+ Space" works for me.

I am not sure if these will work if you install the English version. I tried both and nothing happened.

I believe you have to download and clean install the correct language version. Here is a thread with the official download sites.

Windows 8 CP? That's obsolete (too old).
You should now be installing Windows 8/RP (release preview).

TM's correct, RP is the current version of Windows 8 pre-release OS's. It has a lot more to offer, in particular the Metro Apps working as intended (most of them).

More than likely, once Windows 8 becomes Retail, the Pro version will offer language packs as updates, like Win 7 Ultimate does. Because the Pro version will include what Win 7 Pro & Ultimate offers. Except the Media Center, which will be a paid add-on to Win 8 Pro users, an indication that MS will be pushing the Pro edition through the Windows Anytime Upgrade option.

Pricing for all remains to be seen, but hopefully, MS will offer registered Windows users some sort of promotional pricing during the mid-summer, as they did with Windows 7. But I'm not expecting the $49 offer like they did with Windows 7 Home Premium.

Boy do I feel silly. I did not even catch that little item in the title. Of course a Custom Install of Win 8 RP should solve this problem. I did include the link for the Win 8 RP downloads.
