I've downloaded it, done a clean install on a blank (wiped) HDD, so far, so good. The performance of Windows 8 CP is still there, perhaps faster, plus the graphics looks even better than CP's did. Why couldn't MS do this with Windows 7 (crisp, clear graphics)?

Right now, my only issue is getting Flash to install for Firefox (the non-IE Flash). Won't install. But it probably will be a short term issue.

I still have a lot of other software to install, but had to take a break to check out the forum. It's not like the install is going anywhere soon, I read the EULA, it's good until 01/15/2013. This gives me plenty of time to work with Win 8 RP & decide if it's right for me.

One thing that concerns me, is that some offerings that runs on Windows 7 & below, won't do so on Win 8 RP.

I downloaded, but having problem when installing. It said that my PC’s CPU isn’t compatible with Windows 8. I am looking for a fix.

xinkeoa, What are the specs of your PC? The only thing I could think of at this point is that your CPU is older and too slow. Please list all specs so we can take a look.

So far Win 8 RP is working very well. Seems faster than Win 8 CP. Still have some kinks to iron out. Can't find the thread so far to bypass Metro and automatically go to the desktop.

The only app that has not downloaded so far is my Zinio Reader (used for my PC World digital subscription)

CAT, I just installed Flash for FF just a few minutes ago. No problem!

Maybe you should download the VERY Latest version and make sure you're browser is NOT open when you install anything like Flash, Shockwave, etc.

When I set up a new OS, I automatically install, Flash, Shockwave, Java and K-Lite Codecs.
Everything just works so much better.

    Cheers Mate!
