One question. (As a relative new member) There seems to be quite a number of Administrators on the site, all with confusing niks like Admin, Windows etc. These are all...? partners??

Before posting to any thread, make sure the thread is current and refers to Windows 8/ RP and not some older version.

It does no-one any good if you post to a thread that's already over a year old. Eh?

    Cheers Mates!

Glad that this thread has been reopened, we're getting more traffic, new members needs to be aware of our easy to understand, basic rules. Much of which would apply to any reputable forum or other website.

We wish to run a clean, family oriented forum, for members of every level of experience to enjoy, learn, share ideas, ask questions, & provide solutions to open threads. As TM has stated above, no need to reopen a very old thread, that has been long solved. Instead, we ask to provide feedback to current threads, these members are in need of assistance today.

It is my hope that all of our members finds the info that's needed here, and ask all of our members to participate as much as possible. This doesn't mean one is required to sit behind the keyboard 4 hours per day, what I mean is that all help counts. While it may not answer the original poster's question, it may answer another member's one. There's no "one size fits all" to computing.

And for those who does gets a helpful answer to an issue, it would be good to let the membership know that a post has helped. It's common courtesy to acknowledge this to the helpful poster, as it encourages participation, as well as provides a level of appreciation for the efforts given.

Learn, Enjoy & make new Friends!

    Update: May 2013

New Members: Before you respond to a topic, look at the date of the last post to that thread.

If that date is before October of 2012, the problem or concern was probably about a Beta Test version of Windows 8 and is no longer of any concern.

Responding to OLD threads that probably should have been closed, but were not, is redundant and wasteful of Forum Server space.

We encourage new or even old members to open new threads (topics) to voice concerns or ask questions, but....
before you do, look around to see if there's already a thread open on that very topic.

This forum is a single Language forum, and it's expected that all posts will be in the best English possible. Posts in other languages will be deleted and the poster will be warned after the first infraction and removed after the second.

We all hope you will enjoy this forum.

    Thank You!

Good time for a bump of this thread, to remind all of our members of the Forum rules. The Administrator isn't asking for much, all forums, regardless of type has some rules in place. Those that doesn't, I don't want to be a member of. There has to be some rule & order.

    Welcome to all new members!
