Default Cant figure out windows 8...please help!

I have a music studio, and can't figure out how when I convert YouTube instrumentals to mp3, to have them go to my music on my computer, NOT THE MUSIC APP, OR XBOX MUSIC...just the general music folder under my documents, because I cant import them unless they're there! PLEASE HELP!

IF, using the YouTube APP you Save as Music a song (video) selection from YouTube, that is to say download it as MP3s rather than the Save Video choice, it DOES go to your My Music folder w/ a YouTube Music folder w/in that.

Yeah it goes all the way like you said, but when I open my recording software it doesn't recognize it when I try to import it...it only goes as far as YouTube music and that's it. Now when I library for music, the only option I have is to play it in the music app, which isn't working with the software! What do I do now that it wont import it. Really starting to hate some of these Windows 8 apps!

Why are you struggling w/ or relying on APPs? Try things using traditional, more conventional means and see if that doesn't go better for you. Sure use the YouTube APP cus it let's you grab & save selections as just music. The rest, never mind using Store APPs. Stuff has always been doable before such APPs and still is. Once you get what you want from YouTube, use old ways from that point forward. One is not obliged to use Store APPs to do things.

The selections from YouTube are only saved as plain ole, regular ole, MP3s Not like they are some weird file format or anything. And they are saved in a normal ole folder in/ your desktop hard drive. You can play them in Windows Media Player like we always have... think old school, never mind trying to use Store APPs, maybe will go better for you.

Okay, so here's the problem. When I go to my music library, it comes up on my desktop, but there's no way of opening it without going to the music app, which obviously cant import into my recording software. In my music library on my desktop, it has the music app logo next to it.

You should, still, be able to copy, paste, move files, add them to other music libraries, save them to USBs or discs. Aon top of that, there is choice available as to whether such files play(back in the Music APP or Windows Media Player or if one has it, Windows Media Centre. Yes it can be done w/out "going to the Music APP". I can even start from WMP or WMC first & then go find the files wanted to be played. They are not stuck in the Music APP or only able to be played by it.
