Hmmm, Weather & World Clock are not new. Weird. Personalization Windows nothing new... just, now, accessed via Settings but, all the same, existing, stuff. Yes, term has been changed @ that location to Display Settings... although, currently, if you > Setting & System, get the same thing (window).

All very interesting because some of this so-called new already exists.

    Cheers,
    Drew

That's interesting. Looking forward to seeing how that differs from a windowed Window Weather APP. The screen shot looks the same as what we have now but, time will tell...

Quite seriously, I don't know what "a Metro screen" means or is.

What's all this flap about a weather app? I watch the Weather on my TV. Eh?
That's all just more Bells & Whistles, eyewash if you wish, what about the CORE, the nuts & bolts of the OS that make it actually WORK. ??? That's not actually changed much, since Windows 7. Some things have not changed since Windows XP-SP3.

I do dig into every new build that comes out, and what I'm finding is just more icing on the cake, and maybe a few extra flowers. The cake itself is the same old cake.

MSCONFIG is harder to get to, under all the icing, but it's still the same old MSCONFIG, once you find it.

System Restore is harder to reach, but it's still the same old System Restore, once you find it.

I don't see a lot, if anything, that's changed in the engine (Core) of the program. They just keep piling on more Fluff, that makes it harder for us Tech's, to get down to the Core of the OS.

I just finished setting up build 10051 on a little five year old HP Laptop, and it took me twice as long to setup this new OS as it did to set up XP or even Windows 7. That was just because it's harder to find the things that need to be set up for the best operation of the PC. Just finding the RUN box, is a nightmare for the untrained.

I tried real hard, to set up 10051 without the Classic Shell, but after a day of anguish, I finally broke down and installed the Classic Shell, then I could finally finish setting up the OS.
It's running great today! Now I'm just waiting for the 'Next Big Thing'.

    Cheers Mates!

    'TM',

Especially as an IT Pro, I certainly agree about priorities, if you will.

Anyway, just a couple thoughts you have prompted...

    1. The Rt Clk Win logo Users menu has Run and other things quite easily offering items directly.

    2. If unsure where anything is or path to it... typing what one seeks in Search will quickly & easily bring it up and for future reference the next time.

    3. I, also, find the Desktop Toolbar can be well used, too.

    Cheers,
