After being beat up pretty bad on another forum I was invited here for some R&R. (rest and recovery)

So far I have only GREAT things to say about this forum. Many old friends are already here.
I don't regularly post my birth name on an open (Worldwide) forum for security reasons, but if anyone really wants to know, or to join my email list, or get my Web Site URL, just drop me a PM.
    Many just call me "Doc".

With nearly 40 year of experience in the Electro/Mechanical repair industry, I have lots to share, for those willing to receive. I'm still in the Computer repair business after 32 years.

    It's great to be here!

Hey all, Ted here. Came over from the other forum where several of us were beat upon and I brought a few friends. I am an experienced "enthusiast". I do not work in the PC industry as some of my friends do, but do have a lot of experience to hand out to all willing to listen whenever I can get my brain cell to fire up.

I still work full time so generally you will only see me here morning and evening EST US.

I hope to make many new friends here in the coming months.

    If I may be allowed.....

Ted was my best bud on another forums, run by a little demi-god who would listen to no-one.
I Thank a real GOD that we both found this forum where we can express ourselves freely and in peace.
Like Ted, I'm more than willing to share my experience with anyone wanting and willing to accept help.
If the forum is not the right place to get help with a problem, just drop me a PM and I'll do what I can for you, One on One.

My greatest fear is that one day (hopefully not too soon) I will die and take years and years of valuable technical experience to the grave with me, without being able to pass it on. I'm too old now, to get a teaching position anywhere so I sit here on the internet just waiting for someone to ask me a question. Actually here and on about 20 other forums.

I've put all my Windows 7 setup programs and Tune-Up tips in one RAR file on my web site, for quick and easy download. Just one more attempt to pass on what I've learned.

    Cheers Mates!

I'm a granddad, five times over. None are over the age of 14. On their frequent visits, they spend "quality" (maybe that's a lol) time sitting beside me whilst my digits work in these forums.

Folks, it's generally not a good idea to ask for phone numbers and email addresses in an open forum. Too many unscrupulous individuals out there just trolling for this type info. If a person would like to supply info in a PM then that's an individual decision.

Ted raises a good & valid point.

(But, Ted, aside from that, my friend, please, tell me you got the joke or why I was asked for it )

Oh yes sir, My brain cell worked for that one, but only after I went back and looked at your last post.

But someone else might not realize that hence my response.
