Hello,
I have recently dug out my copy of Zoo Tycoon 2 wanting to play it on my brand new computer which sadly runs windows 8 and had I have known I would have so much trouble installing and playing games on my 'Gaming computer' I never would have brought it but I have and now I'm here.

Every time i insert the disk and try to install it, i get the normal install messages but then this happens...



Does anyone know a series of steps i can take to make this work, it would be a great help.

It's entirely possible that the game is simply too old. It wasn't made to run on newer systems; it was released in the Windows 98/XP era, and there are many games from that same time period that don't work past Windows Vista/7. You're probably out of luck unless you have an older computer lying around somewhere that still works.

I also would like to install it on a Surface Pro =/ also some other old games are not being installed
