Windows 8 doesn't find hp laserjet 3015
Hi all,
Firstly, I have to say I love windows 8! But I have a problem now.
I was having trouble with some of the page controls on my HP Laserjet 3015 that connected via USB to my Windows 8 system, so tried downloading HP's PCL 6 driver. That didn't work. So I thought I could uninstall and reinstall my printer by unplugging the USB connection. Now the system doesn't even recognize when I connect the printer.
So how do I get Windows 8 to recognize the printer and use the Windows driver for it?

HP seems to be the chronic problem child when it comes to drivers. Try to go to HP and get the Win 7 driver for the same "bitness" as your Win 8 CP installation and see if that works. If not, perhaps when the next beta comes out in early June it will have a larger driver base. The Win 8 RP will require a Clean install when it is released.

Try this Steps:
1. Download the driver setup file using the website from the companies
2. Right click on the driver file.
3. Click on Properties and then click on Compatibility tab.
4. Change the compatibility to match the drivers/software that you are trying to install.
If you cannot find Windows 8 drivers, then try using the Windows 7, Vista (or XP) 32-bit drivers, for Windows 8 32-bit or the Windows 7, Vista (or XP) 64-bit drivers for Windows 8 64-bit.
5. Under the Privilege Level, put a check in the box Run this program as an administrator.
6. Click on Apply and then OK.
Good Luck
