Windows 8 CP and Windows 7 dual boot
Hi,
My desktop has Windows 8 CP and Windows 7 dual boot. When I Shut down from Windows 8 & restart the Desktop, it just starts w/o pushing the dsktop power button & when UPS is turned on.
While if I shut down from Windows 7 , it starts normally that is I have to press the Power button ON after I switch on the UPS.
This I'm noticing only in CP , was fine in DP on the same machine.
Could be this some drivers or BIOS ?

Did you do a Clean Install from DP to CP or did you try an Upgrade Install? There could be some sort of power on glitch in the power settings of CP. If you can live with it I would not worry about it. Win 8 RP will be released in early June. This new beta will require a Clean Install of the newest beta OS. This will hopefully cure your problem.
You probably do not have to turn off the UPS when the PC is turned off. This is still providing surge protection even when the PC is off.
